The argument to end all arguments: A hardline stance for abortion

Disclaimer: The views expressed in this Rant are NOT entirely those of my own. I in no way believe in the hardline stance taken for abortion, although I do believe in the woman's right to chose.

Parasite - An organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host. (American Heritage Dictionary)

Guess where i'm going with this. Fetuses, by the definition of parasites, are a parasite. Medically, doctors have an obligation to treat the parasite, by removal of it which generally results in the death of the parasite. Therefor, not only should abortion legal, it should be general practice for doctors to perform it.

Like I said, this is a VERY hardline stance for abortion. I am all for the woman's right to choose, however I in no way believe that fetuses are parasites and that we should kill them all. And to head off any bad feedback I might get, no where does it say that parasites can not be human beings. There is no limitation to what kind of organism the parasite is, as long as it is an organism. It doesn't even have to be alive.

Republicans and Democrats debunked!

I'm alive, I swear. Just haven't had time to put my rantings down for a while.

On with the Rant!

The two party system we have is bunk. The only way you can ever get elected into an office is to be either a Republican or a Democrat (or be really lucky like the two Independents we have in the Senate). This is utter idiocy. Neither party can get anything right. The Republicans scratch and bite and fight their way to the top while the Democrats actually manage to keep their heads on their shoulders and try to make changes.

The Republicans are fundamentally fundamentalists who aren't really fundamentalists except when they say they are. Make since? Republicans are going for the "family" and "moral" side of everything which really doesn't work in a country such as ours. The Republicans seem to forget that our country has this thing called a "Constitution", and this "Constitution" has a "Bill of Rights" attached to it. They are mostly people from the Bible Belt that have learned from their religion how to push crazy ideas on people and make them actually believe it. That is why they are doing so well right now.

The Democrats are the weaklings. They have many of the right ideas but chose to go on the tree hugging side of many issues. If the Republicans are abusive Fathers, the Democrats are the beat up mothers. Some of their ideas lead to the conclusion that they have at least herd of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights but probably have not read them.

Then you take the two greats and divide them up. There are the Radical Right-wing Republicans that our country really needs to avoid right now, and there are the moderate conservative that might be ok, then the moderate Democrats and the Radical Left-Wing Democrats. But the only people that make the ballots are the Radicals. And since everyone votes along party lines, we are pretty much screwed.

So I say lets get rid of the parties. Lets split them up. Hell if we get rid of all parties than we are set! You don't have to worry about what will happen if someone like Vernon Robinson gets into office because people see hes the republican and vote for him without realizing hes one of the biggest idiots on the face of the earth. You also wouldn't have to worry about people seeing Hilary Clinton on the ballot and voting for her because shes the Democrat without realizing shes probably worse than Vernon Robinson (but maybe not...).

Do it like the Courts, party-less so that you actually have to go and look at what they stand for to know who to vote for. Sure it might make your job a little harder, but when it comes to the future of this great nation, don't you think you can give up 30 minutes of your day before going to vote to figure out who would actually be best?
